Wesson Whitaker’s 2026 Junior Sprints season ends with two major honors: the NOW600 national championship and Rookie of the Year.

The BSI driver earned both honors in the same Junior Sprints season. NOW600 named Whitaker its Sawyer Chassis Junior Sprints national champion in the series’ October 27 season announcement, while Wesson Racing’s published season report records the championship and Rookie of the Year together.

The two achievements belong to his Junior Sprints campaign. Whitaker has since moved to Restrictor, carrying that experience into his next stage of racing.

A championship season

NOW600’s national tour includes Non-Wing, A-Class, Restricted, and Junior Sprints divisions. Whitaker’s title was earned in Junior Sprints, alongside the champions recognized in the series’ other national divisions.

The series confirmed its champions after canceling Championship Weekend because of an unfavorable weather forecast. Its October 27 announcement also said a date for the 2026 banquet would be announced later.

The next step: Restrictor

With his Junior Sprints honors secured, Whitaker now races in Restrictor. His BSI profile keeps that current class separate from the championship he earned, giving fans a clear picture of both the achievement and the next step.

BSI celebrates Wesson’s season as a driver accomplishment shared with the family and people behind his racing. The team’s development focus continues through preparation, useful feedback, and helping drivers understand what they can build on in their next session.
